PROJECTION OF THE MOVIE "SHORES OF LIGHT"
On the occasion of the Holocaust Remembrance Week 2024, the Jewish Museum Lecce offers a rich calendar of initiatives that will take place from January 26 th to January 30 th 2024. With the patronage of Puglia Region, Province of Lecce, Municipality of Lecce and UCEI - Union of Italian Jewish Communities, in cooperation with Infotab Tours, CESRAM (Centro Studi Relazioni Atlantico Mediterranee), Italy-Israel Association “Elisa Springer” Lecce, Lecceventi, Cantine Leuci, Melograni Martino and Loft Music School.
Sunday, January 28th 2024
11:00 AM – Projection of the documentary "Shores of light", dedicated to the history of Jewish refugees who were welcomed during post WWII in Salento transit camps. With Prof. Fabrizio Lelli, director of the Jewish Museum Lecce and professor of Hebrew language and literature at La Sapienza University (Rome). In connection from Israel, the director Gady Castel and the protagonists of the docu-film, Shuni Lifshitz, Rivka Cohen and Ester Hertzog, will leave their testimony.
