The Sèfer ha-zòhar (Book of Splendor), an Aramaic work traditionally attributed to the tannaita master Simon bar Yohai (2nd cent. EV), but probably composed by the Castilian mystic Moses de Leon (late 13th century), is a broad esoteric commentary on the Torah and is considered the most significant text of medieval theosophical Kabbalah.
