The Beta Israel are Ethiopian Jews who claim to descend from the alleged marriage of King Solomon and the Queen of Sheba. A Shiviti is a meditative representation of a Psalm that takes its name from the first Hebrew word of Psalm 16:8: “I have set [the Lord in front of me]”.
